How to enable end to end encryption in messenger for groups
Follow these steps to enable encrypted group chat
1. Open Messenger and at the top right corner Click on the pen icon.
2. Then at the top right corner Click on the Lock icon.
3. Below the lock icon, now tap on Create New Group and add your family or friends to the group and click on NEXT.
4. Write your group name and Click on CREATE.
Now you have enabled E2EE for groups in Messenger. Now you can easily do encrypted calls and video call by simply clicking on the call icon or video icon.
How to enable end to end encryption for single chats in messenger
There are two methods to enable encryption for single chats in messenger. First method is by using Lock icon. Here is the simple process to enable it. Open Messenger and at the top right corner Click on the pen icon, now you can see at the top right Lock icon simply click on it and your all chat will be encrypted. If you want disable encrypted chat click again on the Lock icon to disable it.
Second Method is Start Secret Conversation. In this method open any chat you want to encrypt and in within the chat and click on the username and it will open option there you can see Go to secret conversation simply click on it and your secret conversation or encrypted chat will begin.
Facebook latest features in messenger
Facebook added lots of features in E2EE for groups and calls in messenger to make it more secure and provide other features for groups in encryption mode. Facebook gives notification if someone takes screenshots of your disappearing messages in messenger. You can use stickers and GIF’s in the encrypted group chats. To reply a message you can long press the message then reply, copy, forward and remove or report in more option will appear at bottom simply click on reply to give reply of the specific message or swipe right to the specific message to give reply. You can also give reactions to the specific messages if you long press the message reaction pop-up will appear you can choose whatever reaction you want to give. By Double tapping to the message you can give heart reaction.
Before sending any photo and video to the user you can simply edit it. In edit you can use stickers, cropping, adding text, scribbling, and adding audio for your videos. If a user send photo and video you can save that media by long press of photo and video. If someone account is verified then it will also show the verification badge in the E2EE group chat.
